Snowflake Flurry

Hi Everyone

Are you all set for Christmas - are all your cards done yet?
Not long now until the big day. Another Christmas card for today's post .

I masked off the wavy middle and stamped a selection of Phill Martin's snowflake stamps in a variety of blue colours. I  used a WOW embossing powder randomly over the snowflakes I can't remember which embossing powder it was but it is a sparkly one. The wavy sentiment is from Apple Blossom All Occasion Collection - Wavy sentiment stamp set.
I completed the card with some bling in the middle of some of the snowflakes and added matting and layering.
A flat card that is perfect for posting and great for batch making and I created them in purple too.

I hope you all have a great week and thanks for taking the time to stop by at this busy time of the year.

Christmas Bambi

Hi all

I hope everyone is Ok with the cold weather we are experiencing.
We had snow yesterday but it has rained all day today but it has now started to freeze so it will be slippery in the morning.
I created this card for my daughter and her partner- we saw them yesterday and they loved the card. I forgot to take a photo of the inside as I created a personal verse for them.

The image is from Polkadoodles which I colored with my pencils and I added some glitter to ground the deer.  I die cut the sentiment from some pearl card stock -  I really like the simplicity of this card.

Sorry its been a while since I posted we have all had the flu. We are slowly recovering but its been a nasty one with my husband been the worst affected.

Take care everyone and keep warm.

Festive Fairground

Hi all
Back to my cardio- stamps again, a new firm favourite I don't think I will ever get tired of using these.
I used an old Spellbinders die to created the frame for my festive scene.
I used lots of glitter on this card too .
Not long now and December will soon be upon us I hope you are all on track with your Christmas cards. I still have a few more to do, but my inspiration left me this weekend so I took the dogs for a very long walk instead..

Thanks for your visit and any comments are greatly appreciated.

Zendangle Tree

Hi all
How is everyone this week?

This card I made using the  Festive fir-cones and Zendangles Cardio-stamps and  created a Christmas tree by stamping and over stamping.
The 'Merry Christmas' die  is from the Find it Trading die range, which I glittered and added some pearl drops too.
The ribbon was given to me by my daughter's boyfriends mum, and I just had to use it as I like it so much.

Its been quite a cold a day here and the cats have been in all day..so that's 3 dogs and four cats.. quite a menagerie but they all get on together really well together. Here's a few photos of them

Walking the dog

Hi All

What a chilly start to the morning we had a really hard frost.
This is another card I created with my card-io stamps.

I created the hills from a torn scrap of card I used the versa colour ink in yellow and a touch of red ink to create the sunrise and black to create more hills. I then placed the deer and person walking the dog. I used my quickie glue pen to scribble on the hills and sprinkled glitter across the image.
I really love creating the different scenes as no two will be the same. I created a frame from black card using SW noble dies.

Festive Circle

Hi all
Another card made with Lime tree crafts white topaz card.  This time I masked off the center of the card with a die cut circle. Then randomly stamped the festive fir-cones stamps from Card-io around the edge in a variety of colours. Then I removed the circle and stamped the sentiment from Phil Martin scribbled Christmas verses.
I wasn't quite sure what to mount the card on to - so as I looked around my craft room I found some glitter tape/ribbon. I glued this around the sides of my card blank and then popped the topaz card over this. I really like this glitter tape it adds a bit of bling without going over the top.
I hope you all have a wonderful week.

Cottage Snow Globe

Hi all

One of my recent purchases is this Snow Globe die from from Find It Trading

I cut the Find it Snow Globe die out of a great card from LimeTree crafts called White Topaz - I really like this cardstock  and have used it a lot for my Christmas cards this year. It takes ink great even though it is pearlised.
With this card I shaded the globe with TH distress oxide Tumbled Glass with a hint of a darker blue.
Once the ink was dry I stamped the cottage and added glitter to the image to create a snowy feel. I added some snow to the sky by picking up some white acrylic paint with my pokey tool and dabbed it on the image.
To create the background I used a Woodware snowflake stamp using the same blue ink.
I die cut and embossed the sentiment out of sky blue card and embossed it with clear embossing powder.

Christmas Robin

Hi All
I hope you are all well and those that have been affected by the storm are doing okay. My thoughts are with you.

I have had this ginger colored card from Limetree crafts in my stash for a while and have been wanting to use for a long time - so here's my first card with it.
Using a bell shaped mask and swept white ink across the aperture. I then stamped  an old Kanban stamp within the bell with black ink and embossed it with clear embossing powder. I used Glossy Accents on the beak and colored the berries in red.
I stamped the sentiment in the same white ink and added pearls and a bow as finishing touches. I mounted it on to some Topaz pearl cardstock from Lime Tree crafts.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by.

Festive Banner

Hi all
Another Christmas card for today

Here I have used my new card-io Majestix stamps (Festive Fir-Cones)I created a strip by masking off part of the white topaz card and then stamping randomly along the strip in various colours. I then removed the masking tape and popped the Happy Christmas in the gap which was die cut in vintage Gold card.
A great card for batch making too

Purple Sky

Hi Bloggers
Here it today's offering

I know it has been a while since my last blog... the time has just whizzed by.

I had  a great time at Ally Pally and bought quite a few items. I invested in some Card-io stamps and have been having a play with them so I will be showing quite a few Christmas cards over the next few weeks.

I used Versa color ink to create the sky. I then stamped the trees and deer using versafine black ink. Once the ink was dry I used my quickie glue pen to scribble glue across the image and sprinkled Glamour Dust over it.
I used SW dies to cut the image out and mounted it on to black card to make it pop. I embossed a piece of white card with CE falling snow embossing folder.

Thank you to those who have pressed the button to follow my blog it is greatly appreciated.

Have a great week

Stormy skies

Hi all

I created the background first by inking up my acrylic block with TH distress inks weathered wood, tumbled glass and salty ocean then I spritz it with water and swept the block over a piece of water colour card.
Once dry I decided to stamp an old Kanban image.
I used my SP circle dies to create an aperture in some dark blue card and then created a frame for it in white.
Then I just added a lighter blue strip across the bottom for my sentiment to sit on.
I had lunch with a great friend on Thursday it was lovely to catch up with her.
It will soon be bank holiday I am looking forward to the break, I hope the weather improves..

Just because

Hi All

I hope you all had a chance to enjoy today's glorious sunshine.

I made this card for my friend as one of just because cards..

I wanted to try out my new script stamp from Honey Doo.
Firstly I swept CE Colour Cloud in diagonally across the card and blended the colours. I then stamped the script stamp, and pulled out an old Kanban stamp and just used certain elements of it around the edge of the card. Then is was simply matted and layered on to black card and white card that I edged with the green CC ,

My new job is going well I can't believe I have been there six weeks now.
Thanks to those of you who have asked after Rufus, he is fine and back to his normal self.

Hi Crafters

How is everyone this week?
I saw a lovely Card-io Christmas card on Pinterest and tried to have a go at making a version of it myself  from the craft stash I have.
After a few attempts, this is what I came up with.
I used a mixture of stamps from Kanban and Colour Cloud and Distress Inks. I added CS Diamond Sprinkles for a bit of sparkle.

Christmas Greetings

Hi All

I have started to try and do some Christmas cards... but it has been proving difficult due to the new job. My brain is not what it used to be and the learning is making me very tired.. lol.. But I am getting there, I think, although some days I take two steps forward and five back.
The card I would like to share with you started life by me wanting to use a Poinsettia mask that I have had for a long time but never used. I inked through the mask with CS Scarlett Woman colour cloud ink. As there are 4 different styles on the same mask I decided just to ink through them all to see what they looked like.
I then fussy cut around the poinsettia and attached it to my base card. The sentiment is from Tattered Lace.
A few bits of bling finishes the card. I quite like the way it turned out and great if you need a card in a hurry.

Humming Bird

Hi all
As promised here is the other card that was shown on Hochanda.

I first made a Pixie Powder background ( I think it was the Emerald Green) and then die cut SW Hummingbird out of black card. I simple laid it on top of the background for a really quick and easy card. I mounted it on to another piece of black card that I run through my Platinum with a mask that was inked with Versamark. When I removed the mask I used clear embossing powder and heat set it. I am not sure if you can see this in the pics but it just adds that little something in real life.

I am sorry I have not visited many blogs over the last week or so and its been a while since I posted anything- but life has a habit of getting in the way. I was hoping to do more crafting while I have been in between jobs but that was not meant to be.
Unfortunately, we have had a run bad news recently, just like the proverbial bus they all come at once.
My friend (only 49) has just been diagnosed with breast cancer and starts her treatment next Friday, while another sadly lost her husband after a long illness, my husband's friend had a heart attack (luckily he is ok and had 3 stents put in and is recovering at home and waiting to go back to hospital to have a 4th put in). Then my sister in law who has not been well for a few months finally got her tests results back from the hospital with a diagnosis of lung cancer due to her been exposed to asbestos as a child- can you believe it !! It is so sad only 47 and given a year to live !
All of this in just one week my head is in a spin and the family has been turned upside down again!!

And then in amongst all this I get a phone call to say I was successful in one of the jobs I had applied for (yeah). I have accepted it and am due to start on 3rd July.

I hope you all have a good week and take care of each other.
