Caught in Crystal

Hi Bloggers
How are you all today
My Christmas shopping is all done and wrapped (yeah!!)

Very near to Christmas now , but as it was my daughter's birthday at the weekend I thought I would share this card with you.
I had some caught in crystal that I made a while ago and thought I would use it as it was made from some of my daughters favourite colours.
Using a mixture of Spellbinders and Sue Wilson dies with Ivory and purple colour card.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by
and Merry Christmas to you all

I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas

Good morning crafters

Just a quick post today
This card I made from Hobby Art stamp set - Poles apart.
A lovely lazy polar Bear

The sentiment was stamped in versamark and heat embossed in clear embossing powder. I then created the mountain background again all in the same stamp set. I then masked this off and used colour cloud ink to blend over to create the sky. I laid the bear on CS Glacier Ice for snow.
A bit late with my post, unfortunately my father in law sadly passed away on Monday.
Take care everyone xx

Maggie's Christmas

Hi Everyone
I hope you all are keeping well.
Not long to Christmas now so I thought I would post another Christmas Card this week.

I used Sue Wilson Maggie die for my focal element and added SB layered poinsettias which I embossed with CS ruby red slippers brilliant embossing powder, It is such a rich colour I love it and completed them with black gems. I seated the larger one on to black ribbon, and added a few leaves to both Poinsettias.
I embossed a piece of white card with an embossing folder (a freebie)  and then matted and layered on to red then black card using SW double pierced squares.

Where do the weeks go, have you started buying your presents yet?
I have bought a few and I have my youngest daughter birthday just before Christmas too.
Many thanks for stopping by and have a great week.

Purple Snowflakes!!

Hi Everyone
Well what terrible weather we have been having we have a wonderful puddle (more like a lake)  outside our house that nearly goes right across the whole road. I hope everyone is ok out there and has not been affective too much by the rain.
Anyway on to todays card
A combination of old and new on this card.
I have used one of Phil Martin Scribbled Snowflake verses for the focal element of this card. His sentiments are wonderful (note to self to add more of Phil's stamps to my wish list ) lol.
I still love the Elegant Labels four die from SB.
The snowflakes are from SW Bold Snowflake which are heat embossed with CS Brilliant Sparkles Frosty Dawn and Vivid Violet powders, with a pearl in each centre.
I think the colours are wonderful. I hope you can see the sparkle in the photos!

Thank you for taking the time to stop by.

Snow Globe Penguins

Hi Crafty Friends

Here is today's card, the penguins from Hobby Art -Poles apart stamp set.. a wonderful set.

 Aren't these penguins so cute...
I started by stamping the image in Watering can Archival ink which I embossed with clear embossing powder. I coloured the image with my promarkers. I have a snow globe mask which I placed over my image and embossed. I then hand cut the snow globe out.I masked off the penguins and created a snowy scene by using two different sizes of polkda dot masks. I inked through them with tumbled glass disagree ink.
For the sentiment I used one of Phil Martins stamps and curved it to fit into the bottom of the snow globe. I heat embossed in clear then coloured over with ink which makes it pop.
For the background I embossed a piece of white card with a snowflake mask then added versamark to the embossed snowflakes which I covered with clear embossing powder. I think you can see the shine in the photos.
I then created a frame from dark blue card.

Winters Deer

Hi Everyone
How are you all.
The weather has turned really chilly and blustery today but it looked beautiful outside with the sun shining.

I just love the way this card turned out. A very CAS card.
The image is from Polkadoodle (the deer family) which I coloured in with my promarkers.
I added CS Glacier Ice at the bottom of the Deer's feet to give a winters feel to the card.
I framed the image with SW double pierced dies.
The card stock used is Milk and Taupe from CE teamed with brown from Limetree Crafts.
A great card that could be used for a winter birthday or a Christmas card.
Many thanks for taking the time to stop by.

Christmas Greetings

Morning All
I was really pleased with the way this card turned out (even my husband likes it!!)
I started by spreading silver glitter paste from Glitzcraft  through a snowflake mask on to acetate.
I left it overnight to dry and then mounted it on to some Foundation Sky Blue card from CE. I stamped Phil Martins Scribble Snowflake around the corners ( its in his verses set) and embossed with Silver Shine powder. I used SW double pierced square dies to frame it.
On the opposite corners I cut SW bold Snowflake in Coconut white and Sky blue card

The sentiment is from TL which I cut twice and glued one on top of the other then heat embossed with clear ink to give it a lovely shine.

For my Daughter

Hi all
I made this card for my daughters birthday, which was last Friday.

I can't believe she was 27 - where does the time go....
I started with the caught in crystal technique using alcohol inks on to acetate and adding Glamour dust to give it some sparkle. I'm not sure how well this comes through in the pictures.
I created a frame for this using SW oval frames from her festive collection ( the let it snow and the lattice snowflake die)

I mounted this on to some white card stock which I had embossed with a mask and ink through to make it pop a little more.
I then added layers of teal and white card cut from SW double pierced square dies.
The sentiment is computer generated. I then added SW complete Camellia flowers to complete the card.
Thanks for stopping by.
Enjoy your week.

From my craft stash...

Good Morning
This card was created from me playing with my distress inks.
I was using them as a wash on some cardstock - I can't even remember the colours as I was using as it was a while ago, Once it was dry it was relegated to my odds and ends box.
(We all have one of those!!).
Well mine is overflowing so I decided I had to use some bits up. The aperture (also from the box) happened to fall on top of the colour wash card, so all I had to do was decide which stamp to use ..  this one from Kanban.
I completed the card with some ribbon.
A quick and simple card ... now what else is in my box...... lol

Thanks for stopping by..
have a great week.

Playing with Pixie Powders

Hi Everyone

Well another week has flown by I've not had much time for crafting lately, due to work commitments, but yesterday was very productive day.

I made some great batch cards for Christmas.
I had a little play with my pixie powders and did a whole A4 sheet of watercolour card with a mixture of Candy Pink, Purple Violet and Midnight Blue.
The previous week I had been die cutting the SB layered poinsettias and I just couldn't bring myself to throw away the waste. ( you know what us crafters are like ..LOL) I just knew I would do something with it.
I had also bought some ribbon the previous week from The Card Factory.
Hey presto here are some of the cards I made. very CAS but I love them

Gilded Birthday

Hi bloggers

This card was inspired by Julia Watts from one of her Justrite shows.
It made me get my gilding flakes out as I don't use them that often.
I used  the Justrite Filigree Leaves stamp with Indigo Blue gilding flakes I believe they are called Morris Dance, although I do not have the original pot anymore so not 100% sure.
Using a combination of black and gold card from Limetree Crafts die cut with SW double pierced square dies.
The Happy Birthday die was a great find at The Range from Dovecraft.

A perfect card for the start of autumn.
I will definitely be using my gilding flakes more often.

Thanks for stopping by.

Sparkly Poinsettias

Hi All

 Thanks for popping by today.
I hope you all had a good weekend.
This is the first card I created with the goodies I purchased at Ally Pally last week.
I just love the new Sparkles embossing powder from CE, this one is Ruby Slippers.
The Spellbinders layered Poinsettia die was a bargain at only £5.00.
I teamed it up with another new SW purchase the Bold Snowflake (well it was on my wish list) lol.
The foliage is a combination from TL - Christmas Holly and SW Laurel leaves.
The embossing folder was a freebie a while ago, I have know idea what make it is.

My daughter and her boyfriend returned home from America earlier  it was great to see them. We all had dinner together which was lovely, before they headed home.
They had a wonderful time but are very tired.

Enjoy your week .

Prancing Rudolph

Happy Monday to you all
A Christmas card is today's offering
I had a great day at Ally Pally on Saturday - got a few bargains too, so I'm really happy. Also having a couple of days off work, so I have been playing with my crafty goodies today.
I was hoping to post a card (I actually made three today) that I made with my new crafty bits  but time ran away and the light began to fade as the rain started - I hope to take photos tomorrow.

This is an image from Polkadoodles I  coloured Rudolph with promarkers and cut him out with SW noble collection the ornate pierced squares along with the classic adorned squares.

I made the background paper by using CCloud ink (Basil Leaf & Scarlet Woman) over a poinsettia and holly mask then I embossed  the card through with a snowflake mask and rubbed pearl moon gilding polish over the top.
I completed the card with a pearl in each corner.

Thanks for stopping by as always your comments are greatly appreciated.

Can you believe its been a year since I started my blog !!! Where does the time go?
I made this card for a very dear friend of  mine who will be 50 on the 14th September. She will be celebrating in Sicily on her special day.

I cut two strips from an old SB boarder die the Vintage lace Accents, and added to the ends and completed with pearl PVA.
I used the spearmint foundations card along with the white a cut them out with SW Noble dies the Ornate Pierced design.
The flowers I made with Spellbinders cinch and go flowers. I inked through the die with CS frosty aqua colour cloud from PM. I added some CS Iced Snow to the petals, and popped a pearl dot in the centre  with the CS glue that matches the Colour Cloud.

Fluttered on by..

Welcome fellow bloggers

Here is my offering for this week
I wasn't quite sure where is was going with this card when I first started it its one of those that happened by items landing on one another and me thinking what if...
I started with a background I made by cutting into a piece of card 4 times with SW Bright Star Adornment die. I had a glittery scrap piece of card that I really liked but was not sure what I was going to do with it and it landed on top of the other card. And so it began..

I teamed the Aqua and  brown card together along with the Happy Birthday die from Sara Davies signature collection which I cut twice in aqua and white for a shadow effect and then glittered.
I used SW double pierced squares to frame it  and added Bronze PVA every other pierced dot.
To finish off I added glittered butterfly by SB and a bow with a handmade dazzler.
