Hello all
I hope you are all keeping well.
For this weeks card I decided to go with a yellow/orange theme - inspired by my lonely daffodil that is in flower in my garden.
Yes its actually in flower- which I am so surprised about, as the weather has been so cold and we had hailstones here yesterday afternoon.
I am sorry- but I have used my my Altenew stamp again, I know I have used it a lot recently - but hey ho I really like it. I even used the same stamp to create the background panel, which I think is so pretty. The embossed background is from Creative Expressions Dotted Daisies pin point folder, and the sentiment is from Honey Doo crafts.
All of my wool has now arrived so I can start to crochet my throw. I have been doing some practice samples. I am going to do a chevron design. Well I had better go and make a start on it ...
Have a great everyone and thank you for stopping by.

Stormy skies
Hi all
I created the background first by inking up my acrylic block with TH distress inks weathered wood, tumbled glass and salty ocean then I spritz it with water and swept the block over a piece of water colour card.
Once dry I decided to stamp an old Kanban image.
I used my SP circle dies to create an aperture in some dark blue card and then created a frame for it in white.
Then I just added a lighter blue strip across the bottom for my sentiment to sit on.
I had lunch with a great friend on Thursday it was lovely to catch up with her.
It will soon be bank holiday I am looking forward to the break, I hope the weather improves..

Silhouette Christmas Card
Hi Crafters

How is everyone this week?
I saw a lovely Card-io Christmas card on Pinterest and tried to have a go at making a version of it myself from the craft stash I have.
After a few attempts, this is what I came up with.
I used a mixture of stamps from Kanban and Colour Cloud and Distress Inks. I added CS Diamond Sprinkles for a bit of sparkle.
Thank you for stopping by.

Purple Glitter Flowers
Hi all
I started this card with a white piece of card and using SP labels 46 die I cut an aperture in the centre of the card. Then I randomly stamped a flower with TH Shaded Lilac and Milled Lavender on to this to create my patterned paper and inked round the edges with Milled Lavender.
For the background of the aperture image I swiped the same ink pads over a piece of white card and spritzed it with water.
Once dry I stamped the flower image from Glitz Craft stamp and stencil kit. I lined the stencil up over the stamped image and spread purple glitter paste through the stencil.
Once this was dry I mounted it behind my aperture and added as black frame round the aperture to make the image pop.
To complete the card I added pearls to each corner.
Well I am now officially unemployed!!
It was so sad saying goodbye to everyone on Friday as we have all known each other for many years.
We are all meeting up again as the end of this month as that it when the remainder of the people leave. It doesn't seem real yet! but I can now concentrate on the next chapter in my life and look for new employment opportunities.
I hope you can enjoy the sunshine today lets hope it lasts.

Birthday using Altenew Stamps
Morning all
I made this card at the request of my friend for her Auntie.
I made this card at the request of my friend for her Auntie.
I used the wonderful Altenew Beautiful Day stamp, using a variety of yellow inks, with the outline stamped in watering can archival.
I cut the image out by hand and shaped it to add dimension.
The sentiment is computer generated and I added some CS Glacier Ice round the edges of the mats and layers.

I had an interview for a job on Wednesday what an experience !! It included a test too!! Its all changed since my last one nearly 16 years ago. I didn't get it as someone else just had an advanced skill on the excel which I don't but I passed everything else so that was a positive.
I hope everyone has a great weekend.
Were off to the Isle of Wight on Monday for a complete rest so no blogging for me.
thanks for stopping by.

Water Colour Tree
Hi bloggers
For this card I added TH peeled paint and tumbled glass to my acrylic block then spritzed the block with water. I then 'stamped' this ink on to my card.
Once dry I used my tree stamp from Glitz craft and then I used the stencil from the set and added touches of brown on the leaves and trunk of the tree. I used SW double pierced squares to cut it out. Then the mats and layers where in brown and white card which I coloured with Tumbled Glass ink.
Ang, Thanks for asking about Rufus my cat, he is still on bed rest poor love, but he has improved dramatically and put on weight lol.
Here is a pic of him..
My MIL is still quite poorly and remains in hospital, they think her infection may be in the veins leading to her heart, and she is still having daily tests.
Have a great week everyone - hopefully the good weather will stay around for a while.

Mother's Day is nearly here !
Hi all
Here is today's card
I created a background using TH distress inks Spun Sugar and Victorian Velvet on water colour card and spritz it with water to mix the colours. I stamped the CE Dandelion Meadow in black archival and added clear embossing powder and heat set it. I added SP cinch and go flowers and inked through the die with spun sugar. I added the Poppystamps butterfly sprinkles as accents and completed the card with CE pva dots in pearl and vintage pink.
My mother in law is in hospital at the moment she is not well and is having lots of tests she has a bacterial infection but they are not sure what is the cause of it. I hope this card will cheer her up on Mother's day.
Thank you for stopping by
