Silver Frame

Hi all

What a stormy last few days, I hope you have all have been safe and well.
This card was inspired by a milk and coconut white card on Julia Watts blog a while ago. I thought it looked so elegant I thought I would create one of my own.

I started by stamping the Delicate Deco Square stamp with versa mark ink and embossing with CE detail silver shine embossing powder. I have had this stamp for about a year but had never actually used it. I will definitely be using it again, its gorgeous.
I simply created layers using SW double pierced squares from both sets.
The sentiment is from Justrite and embossed in the same powder as the frame.
I am really pleased with this card and the shine from the silver embossing powder really makes its stand out.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by, enjoy your week.

Here comes Spring...

Hi all

I coloured a piece of white card with a variety of yellow inks and used this as my background which  I embossed with CE Dottied Daisies folder. Then I swiped pearl lustre gilding polish over the top to give it a lovely sheen. ( I hope I captured this in the photos)

The focal image was stamped with CE Dandelion Meadow in black  ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I cut the image out with SW Innsbruck die and then created a mat for it from black card from the same die set.

Its nice to see my daffodils in my garden, their colour inspired me to do this card.  I just hope the rain stops and the sun shines a I need to get out in the garden to mow the lawn.

Have a great week everyone and thanks for taking the time to stop by.

Lighthouse Porthole

Hi All

I made this card for my daughter's boyfriend.  His birthday is tomorrow.

I dug out my old Kanban stamps and decided on this light house on,  along with some  papers found in my crafty stash.
I created a water colour effect using Tim Holtz distress inks with weathered wood and salty ocean and then I stamped the image over the top.
I created the 'port hole' effect by using two of my SB circle dies in dark blue card.
The sentiment is from CE cut out with a Justrite die.

Thanks for stopping by.

My first Christmas card of this year

Yes - I thought I would try and set myself a goal of creating one Christmas card each month up to July so at least I can give myself a head start.

I recently purchased some Find It Trading Dies and this card is simply made from Amy design Christmas card set in white and aqua card. The sentiment is called the Spirit of Christmas and is beautiful.
I tried to create falling snow by using white acrylic paint and putting little drops if it on the card with my pokey tool. it sort of worked.

Not long now until the Make It show in Farnbourgh I am going on Friday 24th Feb. I have started to create my need it list lol.
Thanks for stopping by.

Butterfly Sprinkles

 Hi All

I recently purchased some Poppystamp dies in the sale.  The Butterfly Sprinkles and Hampstead Butterfly Stem along with a new colour to add to my stash of Pixie Powders Teal Wash.

So of course I had to have a play and was the result..
Aren't the tiny butterflies so quaint.
The sentiment is mounted on to Sue Wilson's snowflake filigree frame die - I don't think it looks to Christmassy  so it can be used all year round. I cut the die in half  to reduced it in size.
I had a nightmare with my car today it wouldn't start. It was sooo cold this morning luckily hubby was able to come home to sort it fingers crossed for tomorrow
